Kotkaniemi: Hurricanes caught at their own game

Since Marc Bergevin is keeping us in suspense about the decision he will make about Jesperi Kotkaniemi, the rumors are still circulating about the young Finnish player. Most experts agree on one thing: KK should head to Carolina on Saturday to join the Hurricanes.
However, according to Renaud Lavoie, the Canes did not expect Marc Bergevin to let him go when he made this stupid gesture of revenge. Lavoie actually believes that it's overdue since the chances of KK leaving for Carolina are very high.
"It's definitely a divisive situation. The debates must be difficult internally. That said, I wonder how nervous the Hurricanes are right now. This offer is a joke and they were 100% certain that the Canadiens would match the offer.
There is a reason why it has been over 72 hours since this offer was made and we still haven't heard anything from the Canadiens. It's that there's a possibility that Jesperi Kotkaniemi could be a full-time member of the Hurricanes starting Saturday." - Lavoie
So, this flat joke could backfire on the team that made it, when they tabled this proposal only to piss off the Montreal Canadiens. A real "joke" when you analyze the overall picture of this completely useless chapter, which will result in the Habs losing their potential second center...
