Following this very eventful day of the NHL trade deadline, Habs GM Kent Hughes is currently in a media availability.
Among the important elements to note, Hughes admitted that he came very close to trading Shea Weber's contract. He added that it's possible that the Bryan Little trade to Arizona hurt his negotiations.
"Kent Hughes confirmed that we came close to trading Shea Weber's contract today. But we weren't able to come to an agreement. Several teams could be interested this summer according to the GM." - Patrick Friolet
So he confirms that other organizations (besides the Coyotes) could be interested.
