In the context of a recent interview, the General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, confirmed an obvious rumor concerning one of his goaltenders.
One of them will eventually move.
So, a decision is to be expected.
"You never want to lose a player for nothing, and we really like Cayden Primeau. We believe in him.
We know we can't keep three goaltenders for much longer. We don't plan on having three goaltenders long-term, but you never know what can happen from one day to the next with injuries or something else."

Therefore, a big decision/announcement is to be expected, coming from Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens.
If it were your decision, who would get the short end of the stick? Primeau, Allen, or Montembeault?
In any case, losing Primeau «for nothing» does not seem to be an option at all for the GM of the Canadiens.
