It's Jared Davidson and he's playing with the powerful Seattle Thunderbirds.
His story reminds a lot of Rafaël Harvey-Pinard. Davidson was overlooked twice in the NHL draft, before being picked in the fifth round in 2022 by the CH.
The young forward, aged 20, just finished his dazzling season in junior hockey, scoring 38 goals and collecting 82 points in 60 games. He also added 23 points in 19 playoff games, thus helping the Thunderbirds qualify for the Memorial Cup tournament.
He's been very solid!
His head coach, who knows him better than anyone else, had a lot to say about him:
He has even been compared here, well well, to a certain Rafaël Harvey-Pinard! We love it! He could be a solid player for the Habs, and certainly for the Laval Rocket.
The Habs have not yet contacted Davidson for a contract. At the moment, he is unsure about what awaits him for next season.
The team has until June 1, 2024 to offer him an entry contract.
In the short term, we can continue to follow him in Kamloops.
