If there's one prospect that everyone wants to see with the Montreal Canadiens, it's the American defenseman Jordan Harris. The Habs 2018 third-round pick recently decided to finish his college stint with Northeastern in 2021-2022. If he does not come to an agreement with the Canadiens by the end of this season, he will become an unrestricted free agent. In all honesty, it would be a waste to lose such a good prospect, considering that he is such a great young man.
Basically, according to McLaughlin, Harris is the best. He would be just the kind of player the Habs would want around, plus he's talented, an ideal mix.
Grant McCagg, former NHL scout, recently interviewed Harris. He took the opportunity to second McLaughlin instantly.
"Last week, I realized that in my 35-year career, I've never interviewed a kid as likable as Jordan Harris."
Marc Bergevin must be crossing his fingers about Jordan Harris' intentions. The Habs can't pass up on this defenseman. A few players have already decided to test their liberty following their college career, including Justin Schultz, Jimmy Vesey and Kevin Hayes to name a few. We're hoping Harris doesn't go and follow that path.
