With the start of training camp just a few weeks away in the National Hockey League, the various general managers in the league are starting to think about settling some important issues before the start of the 2022-23 season.
Typically, we see a second wave of trades in early September. In recent months, the Canadiens have acquired players such as Christian Dvorak, Jake Allen and Nick Suzuki.
You have to take this with a grain of salt, but it does indeed make sense. Armia fits perfectly with what the Flames are looking for and we know that Kent Hughes and the Calgary GM have a great business relationship.
For his part, Hughes has been very clear from the very beginning that he wants to give himself space under the salary cap. Also, with the addition of Evgeny Dadonov, we shouldn't be surprised if Joel Armia and his 3.4 million per year contract are traded.
