Since the opening of the season, Cole Caufield has been struggling to get back into the same rhythm as last spring. He feels less comfortable and much more hesitant in his decision making. The young man is currently thinking too much, which is stifling his game outright.
Number 22 has only one assist so far, and he is still looking for his first goal of the campaign. The longer this goes on, the more reporters believe that a demotion of the small forward would be very helpful. The question was put to Ducharme, and the coach didn't dismiss it out of hand.
We're looking at all the options for all the players... So, we understand that this possibility has certainly been raised between the coach and Marc Bergevin? The organization certainly does not want to turn Caufield into a Jesperi Kotkaniemi 2.0, does it?
Could a stint with the Laval Rocket for the dynamic 20-year-old forward help him find his wings? Does an exchange between Caufield and Michael Pezzetta is in the works?
