A few hours ago, we told you about an interesting new development regarding a potential trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the Arizona Coyotes:

In their latest article, Marc-Antoine Godin and Arpon Basu (The Athletic) discuss the possibility of Jonathan Drouin and/or Shea Weber being traded to the Coyotes.

They believe that "the Habs would have a better chance of reaching an agreement with the Coyotes" in a case like Jonathan Drouin's, rather than in a case (or a trade) involving Shea Weber.

However, the name of another Tricolore player is raised here: Mike Hoffman. The names of Drouin and Weber have been linked to the Coyotes for some time, but in the case of Mike Hoffman, it is new.

Would you see this type of trade materializing?

Hoffman is signed for two more seasons, and he's making $4.5M per year. In 67 games last season, the Ontario native had 35 points. (15 goals)

It's interesting to see that Hoffman stands out from the crowd and could also change his address, to create room under the salary cap.
