While his days (or even his hours) really seemed to be numbered in Montreal, before the hiring of Martin St-Louis, Jeff Petry, like several other Habs players, has really experienced a fairly impressive resurgence in recent games.

He performs much better!

Will that be enough to quiet the intense trade rumors involving him? Everything indicates yes.

Yesterday, during the second intermission of the game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Winnipeg Jets, the Cogeco network analyst, Dany Dubé, made a very direct statement.

According to his analysis of the situation, according to what he sees and what he hears, Petry will remain in Montreal for the rest of the year.

He even adds that, currently, Kent Hughes' phone is not ringing regarding the Habs defender, the other NHL GMs are focusing on Ben Chiarot.

"Offers, there are none for Jeff Petry", notes Dubé, who obviously underlines the heavy contract of the defender who has three seasons left.

He then adds :

«Jeff Petry will end the year in Montreal. - Dany Dubé

Would you be okay with that?
