Gerard Gallant is a human being and an exceptional head coach. As a head coach, the 58-year-old has been behind the bench of the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Florida Panthers, the Vegas Golden Knights and now the New York Rangers.
His time with the Panthers ended in a very unprofessional way, as he was "pogued" to take a cab and leave the team suddenly. Anyway, he wasn't bitter for long and he bounced back in grand, real-life fashion.
That being said, all this hullabaloo to guide me to this classy move by Gallant, who placed his three Quebec players at center ice at the Bell Centre, for his team's stretching session. Alexis Lafrenière, Samuel Blais and Julien Gauthier guided the whole thing!
Since we are talking about "Laffy", he will once again be on the left side of the ice with Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider. The young man has all the elements to offer a 2nd season worthy of his immense talent.
