Last Tuesday, as part of the game between the Canadiens and the Boston Bruins, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman met with the media to discuss several topics.
Unfortunately, as David St-Jean of Marqueur.com reports, the NHL's number one player had some bad news for hockey fans who dream of a winter classic on Montreal soil.
The only other stadium where a winter classic could be held would be McGill University's Percival Molson Stadium, used by the CFL Alouettes and the Redbirds in college soccer. However, the capacity of this stadium is approximately 25,000 spectators, whereas the NHL generally uses larger facilities for such events.
