Kale Clague is a highly intriguing young hockey player. He has some very enticing offensive skills that Dominique Ducharme will be able to use to his heart's content for the good of the team. I wouldn't even think it's an exaggeration to say that Clague could be a gem for the Habs.

He has a specific plan in mind for his debut with the Habs.
"I'm ready to take the next step and become a full-time NHLer."
The latter even officially presented his player profile during his first Montreal media appearance today.
"I'm a puck-moving defenseman," said the Regina native when asked to describe himself. "My biggest quality is my skating. I have good vision. I try to get the puck to the forwards and let them do the rest."
His strengths will likely be used well in Montreal, as he was used on the second wave of the power play in practice Monday.
"That's when I'm at my best," he said.
"When the puck is on my stick blade, I think that's when my game is effective."
Dominique Ducharme and Kale Clague already know each other very well, having played together on the international scene. They even won a gold medal together in 2018. They even have a special connection.
"We're comfortable with each other," Clague said. "He knows my style of play. I think it's important to have that kind of connection in this type of relationship."
Dom Ducharme even called his new protégé an interesting project for his team.
"It's an interesting project and he's still young. He has good qualities. He skates well, has good vision and moves the puck well. So he has good tools. Now he has an opportunity in front of him. He has to show that he can contribute and make his mark here."
It will be interesting to see if Clague can break through the Habs lineup tomorrow against the Tampa Bay Lightning. With the support of the new management under Jeff Gorton, his development should be a priority for the organization. He is only 23 years old and his offensive potential is enormous. He should not be missed.
