It's really not going well on the Vancouver Canucks' side. The team's record is mediocre with only six wins in 20 games, several players are not performing including Elias Pettersson, Brock Boeser and Nils Hoglander, and then Jim Benning is reportedly not answering his phone.

That being said, the position of Travis Green, the Canucks' chief pilot, is certainly in danger. By the way, there are rumors that Mike Babcock, the old dinosaur who used to bully his players, has been spotted in Vancouver. What is it, does Benning really want to bring back an individual who was kicked out on his butt by the Leafs?
It could be the owners who want to bring Babcock back since Benning could walk through the door as well. In short, according to Elliotte Friedman, Claude Julien would be one of the candidates, as would Babcock. In Julien's case, he still has a contract with the Habs, but they would let Julien talk to the Canucks.
Getting back to Babcock, the 58-year-old reportedly had dinner with Canucks owner Francesco Aquilini on Thursday night.
So, if I understand correctly, the Canucks are lurking to bring back some deadwood to their organization? The more it changes... the more it's the same!
