The Olympics are coming up and we still don't know if NHL players will be participating.
Recall that a quarantine ranging from three to five weeks could be imposed for participants, due to the COVID-19.
Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid was asked about it this morning. From what he said, it could easily be implied that his participation is not guaranteed.
He used the word "unsettling" to describe the potential quarantine required to participate in the Olympics.
It's too early to tell if he will be in Beijing in February, but we shouldn't be surprised if he decides to stay home for this year. After all, Connor McDavid is still young, turning 25 in January. He will have other opportunities to participate in this event.
