I have to tell you about Cole Caufield again because a statistic just fell in front of my eyes: the offensive zone entries that have become profitable for the Montreal Canadiens. What does that mean exactly? That a LOT of Caufield's zone entries were realized in a scoring chance.

The young Caufield, who is now with the Laval Rocket, was playing with less confidence and vigor, but in a small way, he found himself among the National League's elite in the important stat column. So even though he still wasn't scoring, he was the best of his group in that regard.
Connor McDavid, by the way, is at the top of that category with 15 zone entries that turned into scoring chances. That's only five more than Cole Caufield. There are also Johnny Gaudreau, Brayden Point and Mathew Barzal on this list.
That said, just for the record, Cole Caufield has yet to play a single game with the Laval Rocket, but he is on the official team photo. The funny thing is that Alex Belzile, who played six games with the Rocket, was not in the picture.
All in all, I hope Caufield comes back with the Montreal Canadiens quickly.
