The transaction deadline is not only important in terms of personnel movements between teams. It also marks the end of internal personnel moves. In addition, any player not on the roster of the AHL affiliate will not be allowed to play in a game at that level beyond Monday 3:00 p.m.

It would not be surprising to see a lot of roster moves for the CH on Monday, specifically with players who are exempt from the rotation.

Don't panic if Cole Caufiled is sent to the Laval Rocket on Monday at 3:00 p.m. and then recalled. This way, he will be eligible to play with the Rocket once the CH season is over.

According to CapFriendly, only two other players on the CH's current roster besides Caufield are eligible for this. Alexander Romanov and Corey Schueneman could also be dealt to the Rocket. Ryan Poehling, who is currently injured, should also not go through the ballot to go to Laval.

However, CH management will have to be careful because they will only be allowed four call-ups following the deadline. They will have to be used intelligently, but in the CH's current situation, is it really dramatic? In case of a major roster problem, they can always make an emergency recall...

During his press conference, Hughes had mentioned that he was going to try to help the Rocket in their race for the playoffs. In addition to giving up his young players, it will be interesting to see, by Monday at 3:00 p.m., if he will be able to acquire players from the American League in order to offer Rocket fans a first participation in the playoffs.
