A few days before the NHL trade deadline, things are moving. In particular, this morning, we learned this:

Other depth players could also be traded, such as Mathieu Perreault, Brett Kulak and Chris Wideman.

As for Perreault, he has clearly mentioned his openness to be traded, if it can allow him to get closer to his ultimate goal of winning the Stanley Cup.

What about others? Chris Wideman has just recently expressed his will.

According to Renaud Lavoie, of TVA Sports, Wideman is a very respectful player and a good teammate:

«This guy managed to change the image he had. He's the kind of player I want in my team next season." - Renaud Lavoie

Do you agree with Renaud? Would you keep him next year?

According to the excellent Simon-Olivier Lorange, of La Presse, the main interested party, Wideman, clearly told Kent Hughes that he wants to stay in Montreal.

Chris Wideman loves the city and he doesn't want to be traded. Good to know!

Will he still be? To be continued! Wideman may well be the Erik Gustafsson of 2022 and bring back a late-round pick.

Now, is it really worth it?
