Carey Price must go for a reason, says former head coach
The progress Carey Price has made in the last few days is quite encouraging and the chances of seeing him in action before the end of the season are very good.
However, for former NHL coach and TVA Sports analyst Michel Bergeron, Price needs to get out of Montreal. At least that's what he said in his weekly column on TVA Sports.ca.He says that the uncertainty surrounding the Habs' goalie's health is preventing the organization's new staff from moving forward with its rebuilding plan.
The Tiger goes on to say that Price has become a distraction to the team and will leave the organization in limbo next summer.
"He's become a distraction for everyone. The Habs have been playing good hockey since Martin St. Louis arrived. The locker room seems to be coming together.
For everyone's sake, Price should leave.
Even if he's able to come back for three or four games this season, it won't change anything. We're going to spend the summer speculating about the 31's health and that's going to leave the organization once again in an uncertainty that's going to prevent them from moving forward." - Michel Bergeron

Bergeron also took the opportunity to talk about Jeff Petry and said that's another one that will need to be addressed quickly. Kent Hughes failed to trade him yesterday (as did Price), but he will absolutely have to do so before the draft, which will be held in Montreal in June (again, according to "Bergie").
