Tonight, the Habs visit the Edmonton Oilers and Brett Kulak will face his former team. Last year, the former Canadiens defenseman was traded to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for a prospect and a 2nd round pick. With this pick, the CH was able to get one of their good prospects, Lane Hutson.

Today, Brett Kulak confirmed that he had discussions with the Tricolore during free agency to return to the team.

"It was an option. We had several discussions this summer, it was in my last options. I've had some great years, the team is going in the right direction and I think success will come faster than people think." - Brett Kulak

There is a connection to be made here with Sean Monahan. The player has been linked to several trade rumors lately. Kent Hughes could decide to trade him to go after another pick in the next draft and try to sign him when he is a free agent.
