Normally not really known as a journalist who wants to play informant, Martin Leclerc (Radio-Canada) has just revealed a major new information.

After revealing that the CH and the Jets are currently negotiating a trade involving Pierre-Luc Dubois, Leclerc has just made a big revelation concerning Ottawa Sens captain Brady Tkachuk.
As reported by our colleagues at GoHabsGo.com, this is a story that is already causing a huge stir on the hockey planet.
Let's first recall that when Tkachuk was named captain, everyone here was talking about a two-way battle between him and Thomas Chabot.
Well, according to Leclerc, who always has very good sources, the choice to name Tkachuk would indeed hide a big lie:
"According to what Radio-Canada journalist Martin Leclerc reveals in the latest edition of the «Tellement hockey»podcast, it would seem that the explanation behind this nomination is quite different and that it would not go over very well with his teammates.

"I don't know if Claude Giroux will be able to help this, but it seems that there is a problem with the leadership of the Senators. Brady Tkachuk became captain because he had that clause in his contract and it doesn't seem to have gone over very well with his teammates." - Martin Leclerc, Via GoHabsGo.com

Wow, we remember how hard it was for Ottawa to sign Tkachuk. Now we learn that, as a condition of signing with the Sens (for close to $60 million), Brady Tkachuk would have demanded to be named captain...
Basically, he flat out demanded to be the captain of the Sens and it would even be a clause in his contract. Unbelievable...
Let's just hope now, for their sake, that the signing of veteran Claude Giroux will help at this level, he who is known for his great leadership.
This story is especially getting a lot of heat from Montreal Canadiens fans, because of the history between Tkachuk and the Habs.
