In the Habs' season opener against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the offense managed to score four goals, while last season it took the tricolore five games to score that many.
In a way, it wasn't that big of a surprise to many people, because after all, there is still talent in the Habs' offense. However, the team scored only one goal in the next two games, which suggests the old expression, "Hunt the natural, it comes back".
Speaking on BPM Sports, Bob Hartley was pretty scathing about Jonathan Drouin, Mike Hoffman and Evgeny Dadonov, three players who didn't get a shot on goal in Saturday's loss to the Washington Capitals.
If we take into account that Drouin may not be 100%, the fact remains that these three players give absolutely nothing good to the Habs, even with playing time on the power play, at this point, why not give Juraj Slafkovsky the chance to play five-on-four?
Basically, if Kent Hughes ever wanted to get good trade value for Drouin, Hoffman and Dadonov, let's just say it's not going well.
