Monday was the first trade deadline for Kent Hughes. It's safe to say that he did very well as he managed to get the most for Artturi Lehkonen, Brett Kulak and Andrew Hammond. The new GM was congratulated by many, including his former client Benoit Pouliot, for these great deals.
On July 1, 2014, after a 36 point season (not 35) with the New York Rangers, Pouliot agreed with the Edmonton Oilers on the terms of a five season contract valued at $20M ($4M AAV). During that contract, he matched that 36-point total only once, during the 2015-16 season,in 55 games. The CH veteran finally retired from hockey after the 2017-2018 season, the last of his contract.
