During last year's trade deadline, Marc Bergevin really wanted to add Samuel Blais to his lineup, then to fulfill his desire, he offered Artturi Lehkonen.
The workhorse (Lehkonen) refused to extend his deal, as he was finishing the last year of a two-year contract, which obviously killed the deal in place.
In short, "Lehko" finally signed a one-year deal with the Montreal Canadiens on July 31. Once again, he will become a restricted free agent after this season.
Honestly, this guy leaves his heart and his guts on the ice every time he comes in and to build its new culture, the Habs must be inspired by Lehkonen's ethics, discipline, commitment and attitude.
