Fights in the National Hockey League are no longer a thing. Some journalists would even abolish the infamous fights, which shattered the lives of many players when they retired.
No one wants orchestrated fights anymore, but fighting to defend a teammate is still part of the code.
That said, on Sunday night, the Dallas Stars and Ottawa Senators were fighting for the first time since February 2020 and a fight between two colossus broke out with less than two minutes left in the game.
So Stars captain Jamie Benn, along with colossus Sens defenseman Josh Brown, dropped the mitts at center ice to get things started. They actually put on a show that many fans enjoyed, and they were quick to point out on the networks.
They were really pumped up and I must admit that it got me into it for this duel, whereas I was quite relaxed in front of my TV before this fight.
