A massive 9 million dollar contract to be signed between Samuel Montembeault and the Montreal Canadiens, according to Stéphane Waite

It would therefore be a contract of (at least) 9 million dollars, in total, for three seasons to keep Montembeault.

Samuel would therefore be worth less than the 3.85 million per year that Jake Allen currently earns.

Waite's information is consistent with what has been circulating for a few weeks. Recall that Pierre LeBrun reported earlier in the week that talks have begun between Montembeault's camp and Kent Hughes.

Sam is 3-3-1 with a 2.78 GAA and a .908 SV% this season!
