Alex Ohári, a reporter for The Hockey Writers assigned to cover the Carolina Hurricanes, delivered his thoughts on forward Tomas Tatar.

Tatar was just released by the Tricolore after not having his contract renewed. During his time in Montreal, we saw what an incredibly talented player Tomas Tatar was, hence his 58, 61 and 30 point seasons. He scored spectacular shootout goals on many occasions as well. However, in the playoffs, Tomas Tatar is not known for having success.
In 2018, he was left out of the Vegas Golden Knights' incredible playoff run on several occasions. This year with the Habs, history repeated itself once again, as Tatar only played in five games, picking up one assist in the process.
What Tatar is criticized for most of the time is his lack of intensity and even his overall involvement.
Alex Ohári pointed his finger at Tatar in this regard, while also pointing out his good points.
"I would love to see a guy like Tomas Tatar with the Hurricanes. Good skills, he produces and he competes."
"Plus, historically, his offensive production dries up in the playoffs, so he'd be a good fit with the Hurricanes."
It's also easy to see how the writer violently flays the Hurricanes' roster. He seems visibly unhappy with the collective performance of the Raleigh organization...
A little lack of professionalism or a well placed point? It's up to you...
