Selected in the fifth round with the 150th overall pick in the last draft, forward Joshua Roy is becoming a steal from the Habs.
Indeed, the Quebecer is currently at the Canadian Junior Team camp and is seriously lathering up his bid for a spot on head coach Dave Cameron's final roster.
Initially known as an offensive player, as evidenced by his two points in the last game against a university all-star team, Roy has also greatly improved in his own territory, even starting to play on the penalty kill unit.
Used primarily on the left side of Connor Bedard and Dylan Guenther since the beginning of camp, Roy continues to impress. He seems to be more motivated than ever since he had to wait almost five full rounds to hear his name called by an NHL team.
One thing is certain, if he continues in this direction, Roy will have been the last find of the Trevor Timmins era with the Habs.
