A 6-foot-8-inch behemoth from Quebec received a nice award on Tuesday

The Chicago Blackhawks offered a three-year entry-level contract to giant format defenseman Louis Crevier. He had a great training camp with the Illinois team last September. The 20-year-old Quebecer is also off to a great start this season with the Quebec Remparts under Patrick Roy.

He has six points, including three goals, in eight games so far this season. Let's not forget that he has a monstrous frame at 6 feet 8 inches and 214 pounds. He has an interesting progression that must make many teams regret not selecting him before the seventh round.
However, the one who should be most upset is Marc Bergevin. He had the chance to select a quality Quebecer, but he didn't. The Montreal Canadiens had this famous seventh round pick, but the organization decided to trade it to the Chicago Blackhawks during the draft.
Crevier may not be a National Hockey League player one day, but the CH should have done their homework. After all, Crevier is still a player who has been in the team's backyard for a few years...
