Defenseman Samuel Girard was scratched from his team's lineup before the most recent Colorado Avalanche game, with no apparent explanation, raising questions.

And now, in the last few minutes, head coach Jared Bednar has announced that Girard will not play tonight either.
Bednar added that Girard had to leave the team for personal reasons.
This explains that. Let's just hope that everything is going well for Samuel.
