Last minute announcement: a big blow to Alex Galchenyuk and it could be the end of his career

After making a return to the National Hockey League with the Colorado Avalanche and regaining some hope in his case, Alex Galchenyuk has now been sent back to the AHL.
The organization just made the announcement:
"Alex Galchenyuk has been reassigned to the Colorado Eagles."
Galchenyuk, 29 years old, was unable to convince the Avalanche management. The third overall pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 2012 has accumulated 0 points in 10 games with the Avalanche and 33 points in 33 games in the American League this season.
