A few hours before their game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Bell Centre, the Montreal Canadiens organization has just published an important official statement, especially under the circumstances.

It will be a special theme night for the CH, and the players will wear unique jerseys during the warm-up session.

"The Canadiens will wear special warm-up jerseys created by multidisciplinary artist Meky Ottawa tonight. [...]

The Canadiens will present their second Celebration of Aboriginal Peoples Night tonight. Members of various Aboriginal organizations and communities in Quebec will be present for this evening where the richness and diversity of Aboriginal cultures will be celebrated. The traditions, languages and skills of First Peoples will be highlighted as soon as the doors open.

The starting line-up will be announced in Cree by Dr. Bosum, a teenager from the Eeyou Nation. The national anthem will be sung in French, English and Cree by singer-songwriter Pakesso Mukash, originally from Whapmagoostui First Nation and also a member of the Cree Nation of Eeyou Istchee."

Please also note that the jerseys worn by the players during the warm-up session will be auctioned off. The sale is already underway and you have until Tuesday, March 28 at 7 p.m. to bid.
