This is a file that continues to be extremely strange and mysterious.
In the last few minutes, the Chicago Blackhawks announced that Corey Perry will be absent again today and will not be in the lineup.
Why? They refuse to say.
"Corey Perry again absent from the lineup tonight. Luke Richardson refused to say whether it was his decision or if it came from above, what the timeline might be, how Perry is doing, where he is, or if there is a path back for Perry."
- Via Mark Lazerus, Chicago journalist
Really strange. Anyway, if they simply no longer want Perry, we know many teams that would take him.
At this point, one wonders if we should be worried about him?
Details will follow.
Remember that Perry had a very good start to the season, with 9 points in 16 games.
