Last minute announcement from the NHL regarding yesterday's game between the Canadiens and the Bruins
As you've probably already seen, we witnessed an extremely dangerous scene last night during the match between the Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins.
This involves
A.J. Greer, who delivered a dangerous hit to the Habs' Mike Hoffman.
Greer earned a five-minute penalty and an ejection from the game on the play.
See his cross-check here:
But that's not all. In addition to that, the NHL just made an expected announcement.
"The NHL has already informed Greer that he will have to meet with the Department of Player Safety to explain his actions. The meeting will take place today, and the verdict is likely to come down within the next few hours."
In your opinion, fine or suspension?
"AJ Greer will have an in-person hearing tomorrow with the NHL's Department of Player Safety for his cowardly hit to Mike Hoffman's face. [...]"
Remember that an "in-person" meeting paves the way for a hefty sanction and a suspension for multiple games.
