The main topic of discussion for the CH, since the beginning of the season, is certainly the injuries. The infirmary is overflowing with patients and the bleeding does not seem to stop.

That says a lot about how ridiculous this situation is.
A video released by Sportsnet on March 13, while Gallagher was still on the injured list, proves his point very well.
The situation will definitely have to be fixed in the next few seasons if the plan is to become competitive. It will be impossible to be competitive with so many injuries.
As of March 17, according to the excellent NHL Game Lost, Montreal had lost 590 games to injury. They were followed by the Leafs (485). Last season, 2021-2022, the CH had also finished 1st on this unfortunate list with 731 games lost...
