In the last few minutes on BPM Sports, a few days before the trade deadline, the excellent Marco D'Amico just proposed two interesting acquisitions for Kent Hughes.
See his explanations:
"Who will be the next Kirby Dach/Alex Newhook for the Canadiens? Marco D'Amico suggested two young players to the CH as potential targets on Van Houtte live." - BPM Sports We're talking here about two players who fit perfectly with what Kent Hughes is looking for. Two young players with high potential who are about to bloom.
Mittelstadt, 25 years old, is an 8th overall pick in 2017, five spots ahead of a certain Nick Suzuki. He racked up 60 points last season and has 44 points in 59 games this season.
He is very interesting and several rumors suggest he could be moving from Buffalo, so this could really be something for Kent Hughes to consider.
Holtz, 22 years old, is a 7th overall pick in 2020. He has scored 30 points in 87 NHL career games (16 goals), including 24 points in 59 games this year despite very limited minutes.
These are two SOLID suggestions. Which one would you prefer? The goal-scoring winger or the agile center?
What would your offer be?
