Trade Talks: Renaud Lavoie just made Canadiens fans really happy
On the airwaves of BPM Sports, journalist Renaud Lavoie delighted many fans, including, of course, those of the Montreal Canadiens.
Amidst numerous rumors and speculations, Renaud Lavoie believes that we will finally have something concrete soon, and he thinks that trades will be announced this week in the NHL.
Given that the 2024 draft is in about ten days, it makes perfect sense! And as soon as the first trade is announced, the others will follow, as always.
We notably saw this with the Sean Monahan trade.
Renaud Lavoie Predicts Trades This Week
Teams are in discussions for potential trades, unsurprisingly, but now we learn that some trades could already be agreed upon (verbal agreements between some general managers).
In his segment on the airwaves of BPM Sports, Renaud Lavoie confirmed that there is a lot of action behind the scenes.
«Kent Hughes of the Canadiens may well have already completed some trades. NHL announcements should be made very soon.» - RDT
The Leon Draisaitl situation will also be crucial for what follows.
«In my opinion, within a week, there will be trades announced.
If Leon Draisaitl tells the Oilers that he doesn't intend to return, the Oilers will have no choice but to trade him immediately.»
«Several teams are waiting to see if Leon Draisaitl wants to leave Edmonton before making a move.»

In his career, Leon Draisaitl has an impressive 850 points in 719 games, plus 107 points in 71 playoff games.
