Trade rumours continue to buzz in Montreal, and now Kevin Weekes has revealed the Canadiens may have a big plan up their sleeve.
The Montreal Canadiens, specifically Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton, are officially working with the Buffalo Sabres to acquire young center
Dylan Cozens.

Kent Hughes is getting back to work!
In speaking to sources , I'm told there's been plenty of expressions of interest from clubs in Buffalo Sabres forward Cozens including [the] Montreal Canadiens, Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Detroit Red Wings
Kent Hughes has expressed his interest, and phone calls have been made.
Will he now be able to find common ground to get the deal done?
That's something we'll be keeping a close eye on, but one thing is certain, Montreal has far more trade assets than a team like the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Habs will look to add to their struggling top-six, especially as
Patrik Laine's difficulties have stacked up, and
Kirby Dach and
Alex Newhook continue to underperform.
Cozens' six-foot-three, 207 pound frame would be a great complement to smaller players like Newhook and
Cole Caufield.
Is there a possible trade to come here?
This is a developing story, and more details will follow.
