According to exclusive information from Marco Normandin, Montreal Canadiens GM Kent Hughes had a deal in place to trade Logan Mailloux at the draft.
We talked about this scoop because it's obviously big news to learn that Kent Hughes had an agreement with the Anaheim Ducks to acquire Trevor Zegras, but that's not all.
It would also confirm that the Canadiens would be open to trading the young defenseman Logan Mailloux, which corroborates what Maxime Truman mentioned.

There's a lot of talk about Jordan Harris, Justin Barron, and even Jayden Struble, but the fact is that Logan Mailloux's value is much more interesting.
If Kent Hughes wants to use his surplus in defense to improve his attack, it might unfortunately mean trading a young player like Mailloux.
