Journalist Bruce Garrioch identifies two defensemen for a Sean Monahan-type trade
Two Edmonton Oilers defensemen have just been identified by journalist Bruce Garrioch for a Sean Monahan-type trade.
As you know, the Oilers are currently in a tough situation, as they have until next Tuesday to match the two offer sheets made to Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway.
These offers were made by the St. Louis Blues.
That said, if they want to keep young defenseman Broberg, they will need to make a trade (to free up cap space).

Brett Kulak, 30 years old, is a left-handed defenseman standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 192 pounds. He recorded 16 points in 82 games last season with the Oilers.
He earns $2.75 million per year until 2026.
Cody Ceci, 30 years old, is a 6-foot-3, 210-pound defenseman. He recorded 25 points in 79 games last season with the Oilers.
He earns $3.25 million per year until 2025.
