We have just learned that the name of young goaltender Yaroslav Askarov has been placed on the NHL trade market.
Many Montreal Canadiens fans and observers have expressed their interest in Askarov, who seems to be a future star goaltender.
However, what is the price to pay? Which player will Kent Hughes have to part with?
Elliotte Friedman Reveals the Price to Pay for Yaroslav Askarov
During an episode of his podcast 32 Thoughts, Friedman mentioned that the price asked by the Nashville Predators in exchange for the young goaltender Askarov is:
A- An established NHL player who would make sense in exchange for Askarov.
or
B- Another prospect with high potential who is not a goaltender, so a forward or a defenseman.
«Friedman, on Nashville's demands for Askarov (32 Thoughts):
'They are looking for either an established NHL player who makes sense to acquire for Askarov, or another high-level prospect who isn't a goaltender, so a forward or a defenseman, that's what the Predators are seeking.'»
Personally, I wouldn't make this trade, especially because I REALLY believe in Jacob Fowler, and I also think Samuel Montembeault is an excellent goaltender.
