During an episode of his podcast 32 Thoughts, Friedman mentioned that the price asked by the Nashville Predators in exchange for the young goaltender Askarov is:
A- An established NHL player who would make sense in exchange for Askarov.
or
B- Another prospect with high potential who is not a goaltender, so a forward or a defenseman.
«Friedman, on Nashville's demands for Askarov (32 Thoughts):
They are looking for either an established NHL player who makes sense to acquire for Askarov, or another high-level prospect who isn't a goaltender, so a forward or a defenseman, that's what the Predators are seeking.'»
Personally, I wouldn't make this trade, especially because I REALLY believe in Jacob Fowler, and I also think Samuel Montembeault is an excellent goaltender.
And you, do you think the Canadiens should target Yaroslav Askarov to secure their future in goal and find a potential successor to Carey Price?
