Hughes Reportedly Working on Second Major Trade to Land Star Centre After Dobson Deal

After acquiring star defenseman Noah Dobson yesterday, it looks like Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens aren't done yet-and let's just say there's starting to be a lot of smoke surrounding a trade in progress with the St. Louis Blues.

Hughes is working on it!

Let's recall that in his initial post, Marco D'Amico mentioned two names: Noah Dobson and forward Jordan Kyrou.

Now that Dobson is settled, Hughes appears to be seriously tackling the Kyrou situation.

Even the excellent D'Amico is on the case, confirming that the Canadiens are still pursuing Jordan Kyrou, aiming to bring this trade across the finish line.

So know that this is actively in the works right now, and there's definitely a lot of smoke surrounding this situation.

At 27 years old, Jordan Kyrou is a 6-foot-1, 196-pound winger, an exceptional skater who was originally drafted as a center. He recorded 70 points in 82 games this season-including 36 goals!

In recent seasons, he's also posted 67 points in 82 games, 73 points in 79 games, and 75 points in 74 games.

He's under contract through 2031 at 8.125 million per year.
