Four Players Claimed on Waivers Today, Including Multiple Familiar Faces to Canadiens Fans

We had plenty of waiver action in the NHL today, notably involving Kent Hughes and the Montreal Canadiens, just days before the start of the season.
Earlier today, we reported that the Maple Leafs claimed goaltender Cayden Primeau as well as forward Samuel Blais off NHL waivers.
We also mentioned that goaltender Brandon Bussi was claimed by the Carolina Hurricanes yesterday, but today, a total of four more players were claimed across the NHL.

In addition to Cayden Primeau and Samuel Blais, note that goaltender Colten Ellis was claimed by the Buffalo Sabres from the St. Louis Blues.

Curtis Douglas, 25, is a 6-foot-9, 242-pound center who was a fourth-round pick of the Dallas Stars in 2018.
He recorded 23 points in 63 AHL games last season, along with 117 penalty minutes.
