A blockbuster trade proposal involving Arber Xhekaj has just been made public
While major sources, such as Pierre LeBrun, have confirmed Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton's interest in Martin Necas, a trade offer involving Arber Xhekaj is causing a stir.
Most Montreal Canadiens fans believe that Xhekaj should absolutely not be traded, but nevertheless, here is an excerpt from Jean-Charles Lajoie's latest text for TVA Sports.
«In my opinion, there is no doubt that it will be Necas for Xhekaj just as it was Romanov for Dach two years ago. Xhekaj and a draft pick, ideally the first one of the Habs in the second round, but I wouldn't be at all shocked if it was the famous first pick from the Jets obtained in the Sean Monahan trade.»

He knows very well that losing Xhekaj will hurt, but he also insists that you cannot acquire a Martin Necas with a Jordan Harris.

Martin Necas, 25 years old, who can play as a center or as a winger, is a 2017 first-round pick. He accumulated 53 points in 77 games this season (9 points in 11 playoff games) and had 71 points last season.
