With the end of training camps quickly approaching all around the NHL, teams are beginning to finalize their rosters, and thus, many players are being released/placed on waivers.
There was, once again, a lot of waiver activity, as no fewer than 12 new players were made available, including two former first-round picks.
Foote, 24, is a big defenseman standing at 6 feet 5 inches and weighing 224 pounds. He was the 14th overall pick by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2017 and has accumulated 19 points in 141 career NHL games (121 penalty minutes).
Jankowski, also a former first-round pick, is a 6-foot-4, 215-pound center. He has 92 points in 322 career NHL games.
