With the advent of social networks, it's becoming increasingly easy for fans to play the role of GM. On their accounts, whether anonymous or not, they throw out trade proposals. While most are fanciful, others are at least sensible and logical.
It seems, according to what is reported by the popular Instagram account @nhlbreakers, that some NHL executives use these proposals for inspiration. Even worse, both active and inactive GMs have even admitted to using their dreams to come up with trade ideas.
"Some NHL general managers have had trade/signing ideas come from unconventional places, including interactions with fans, online discussion forums, and even their own dreams.
In a rapid-fire question series with current and former general managers who were granted anonymity so they could speak freely, several admitted these unique origins for their hockey operations decisions." - NHLBREAKERS
Unbeknownst to you, your trade proposal posted on your social media or, for example, on the site Capfriendly, which offers numerous tools to play the role of GM, could have served as the basis for a real transaction!
For fun, leave us your trade offers, as realistic as possible, concerning the Habs!
