The Leafs make a final decision on Samsonov
We just learned big news involving the Toronto Maple Leafs.
They have just shocked the hockey world by placing their #1 goaltender on NHL waivers. Wow.
Samsonov, 26 years old, is a 1st round pick (22nd overall) of the Washington Capitals in 2015.
In 42 games last season, he had a record of 27-10-5, with a 2.33 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage.
He was among the best goaltenders in the entire NHL last year.
However, this season, he has a record of 5-2-6, a 3.94 goals-against average, and a .862 save percentage.
This could shake up the NHL goaltender market, and it will be really interesting to see if he will be claimed tomorrow at 2 PM by another club.
Details to follow.
