In the last few minutes, and a few hours after the official announcement of the trade between the Montreal Canadiens and the Detroit Red Wings involving defenseman Jeff Petry, the Red Wings have released a special official statement.
Wow! Petry will wear the number 46 in Detroit, just like his father.
We love it, and it reminds us of how Kent Hughes displayed great class by trading Petry to his home, where he wanted to play the most in the world.
The Petry family must be extremely happy today!
