This is excellent news for the former defender of the Montreal Canadiens. As notably reported by Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, Mete has just signed a contract with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Mete, 25 years old, is a 5-foot-9 defenseman drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 2016. He has accumulated 45 career points in the NHL (5 goals) in 247 games.

He spent the most recent season within the Toronto Maple Leafs organization. He collected 2 points in 11 games with the Leafs, and no points in 6 games with the Marlies. (AHL)
