Signing Alert of forward Matthew Stienburg from the Colorado Avalanche
In this month of August, signings are becoming increasingly rare in the NHL, but we've just had one!
The Colorado Avalanche just announced the signing of young forward Matthew Stienburg.
We're talking about a two-season contract with an annual value of $950,000.
Stienburg, 22, is a right-handed center from Halifax. He was drafted in the 3rd round (63rd overall pick) in 2019 by Colorado.
He scored 29 points in 28 games with Cornell University in the NCAA in 2022, and 7 points in 18 games in 2023.
He added 2 points in eight games in the American Hockey League.
We're talking about a forward with great potential and another great addition for the Denver organization.
