Last night on TVA Sports, the informant Renaud Lavoie denied a big rumor that has been circulating in recent hours.
It concerns forward Christian Dvorak of the Montreal Canadiens.
As you know, yesterday morning on trade deadline day, the reputable Frank Seravalli mentioned that the Tricolore's general manager, Kent Hughes, received calls from several teams about Dvorak.
"Frank Seravalli mentioned this morning that the CH has received calls from several teams about the availability of Christian Dvorak.
This will be another interesting issue to follow today!"
- Reported yesterday by MO Beaudoin
However, on TVA Sports, a few hours after the deadline to conclude transactions, Renaud Lavoie was keen to correct the record.
"Interest in Christian Dvorak, the phone rings for Dvorak? Are you kidding me? Nobody called for Christian Dvorak."
He continues:
"It's not possible, there. This is no disrespect to Christian Dvorak, but have you seen his contract? There are still several years left. When the cap goes up significantly, maybe. But by that time, we'll stop believing in unicorns."
- Renaud Lavoie
In any case, the fact is that Dvorak has not been traded.
The forward makes $4.45 million a year through 2025. In 62 games this season, Dvorak has 28 points.
